Each bowl of shoyu ramen is made with dashi-infused shoyu broth that has been simmered for more than 12 hours to infuse the subtle aroma of kombu and bonito directly imported from Japan. The ramen broth is then topped with freshly made hakata noodles as well as savory slices of menma which is also directly imported from the Kanto region in Japan.

This special initiative is exclusively available for DINE-IN ONLY at our Dhoby Ghaut and Marine Parade Central outlets from 2pm to 6pm daily. Limited to only 20,000 bowls, while stocks last.

During this festive Chinese New Year period, while we celebrate with our family and friends, let’s also not forget the underprivileged fellow elderly Singaporeans living in solitude at home and the majority of them unable to afford basic healthcare services. We encourage readers and customers to join Takagi Ramen in their mission to make a difference in the lives of those in need, one bowl of ramen and one box of mochi at a time.

About Takagi Ramen

Have you ever wondered why Takagi-san and her husband chose such a “low class” slogan? Some have the luxury of time and money to sit down in a nice restaurant and enjoy a 3 course meal as a regular part of their day.

For others, simply satisfying their hunger with a quick, hearty bowl of food at the end of a long work day is the greatest pleasure – and why shouldn’t it be?

While some may wish they were born rich and famous, it’s the working middle class that really moves the world. The Average Singaporean understands the value of hard work, family responsibility and knows how to enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

They are tough instead of sheltered and are resilient in the face of struggles. They know a good deal when they see one and they stand in solidarity with each other to face life’s challenges.

That’s why it’s Takagi Ramen’s mission to keep prices affordable, so we can be proud to serve the Average Singaporean. Even in the face of continuously rising rentals and volatile pork prices, we are committed to finding creative solutions that don’t burn a hole in our customers’ pockets.

Negotiating hard with supportive suppliers, training staff to embrace Kaizen and operate with lean manpower, constantly innovating new menu items and focusing on serving volume is just part of the constant hustle for Takagi Ramen to keep our food relevant and affordable.

Having served over 3 million bowls of ramen since our incorporation in 2015, we are honored to have the support of our customers and to be able to continue serving the Average Singaporean, everyday.

Having this slogan serves as a constant reminder and keeps us rooted to stay true to our mission.
